On Tuesday, April 14 CDS traveled an hour and a half through the rain to take on cross-town opponent BISC in what would be our first match of the season. In the first game the CDS girls fought in a tightly contested game, only to lose in the final seconds 6-8. In the second game, the boys used stifling defense and a series of fast breaks lead by 8th grade guard Phillip Yoon to jump out to a 15-0 halftime lead, and eventual victory of 28-2. The third game saw the girls return to action, and play much better. Despite holding a brief lead due to a series of baskets by 8th grader Elizabeth Yu, the girls could not hold on and lost by a final score of 12-16. In the final game, the boys dominated again, 20-2, thanks to an impressive performance by 6th grade guard Solomon Choi. Dalton was praised by the BISC coaches for their performance and displayed good sportsmanship throughout the evening. Go CDS!
